|Recommended: YesExceptional service — We just moved in from Europe and we are so happy to live here. Modera's staff, especially Amanda Property Manager was so helpful and supportive during the whole relocation journey. She alone, is worth 7 stars .
|Recommended: NoI’ve been living here for two years, and while I genuinely love the building and the neighborhood, my experience with maintenance and management has become extremely disappointing.
This past winter, we dealt with a mouse issue, which was stressful and frustrating. Now, for more than three months, we haven’t had proper AC. The existing unit was left in poor condition, and although we were told a new AC heating unit would be ordered, that still hasn’t happened.
A temporary solution was provided, but it feels like management simply forgot about the actual problem. Our window has had to stay open because of the temporary setup, and summer is almost over with no permanent solution.
What worries me most is winter. If the new unit still isn’t installed, I honestly don’t know what we’re going to do when we need proper heating.
After two years here, it’s incredibly disappointing to feel this overlooked. We love the building and the neighborhood, but the lack of follow-through from managemen

Our team has been working closely with our vendor to coordinate the necessary repairs and permanent replacement, and we understand how frustrating it is when these repairs take longer than anticipated. We also recognize the inconvenience the temporary solution has caused and appreciate your patience throughout the process.
Your concerns regarding follow-through are important to us, and we will continue working with our vendor to get this resolved as quickly as possible. We truly value you as a resident and appreciate your two years at Modera Newton.

|Recommended: YesHappy with the apartment — After 1 year at Modera Newton, my wife and I are happy living here. The apartments and the grounds look great. Maintenance has never been an issue. It's a little pricey, but so far it is worth it. My only complaint is that some of the other residents don't take great care of the facilities. But, I cannot blame Modera for that.

|Recommended: YesClean and kind — Our apartment is so quiet and always kept spotless, just like staying at a resort. Even during this year’s snowstorms, they cleared the snow constantly, so there was no inconvenience at all. I’m beyond satisfied with living here.

|Recommended: YesNice place. A few upgrades would make it great. — We've been here only a few weeks but we're happy with our decision overall. The staff is professional and prompt. I like the modern look and feel of the place.
A few suggestions for improvements would be -
1 Better sound proofing and higher quality construction. We can hear our neighbors from every direction and I'm sure they can hear us. I can even hear every car moving in and out of the garage including the quieter EV vehicles and I can hear the garage open and shut every time, although we live on the 4th floor. Same goes for the floors - you can feel the movement when someone walks around the apartment.
2 A better solution for light blocking and privacy. The shades provided aren't sufficient.
3 More in-ceiling electrical hookups for lights in the living room and bedrooms. Having floor lamps everywhere is not child-friendly. Really wish I had caught this before signing the lease.
4 Availability of parking spots. It's tough to find a spot, especially if you have an EV or plug-in hybrid. And many parking spots are too narrow, regardless of charging option.
5 Access card to the garage is finicky. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes backing up and reapproaching the sensor helps. Other times it doesn't.
All in all, this is a comfortable place for the most part.

|Recommended: NoMade of cardboard — These are very flimsy apartments with constant plumbing issues. I’ve never seen a door made of actual cardboard instead of wood. The carpet is cheap the paint is cheap the entire unit was made as cheaply as possible. My upstairs neighbor bought their toddler a piano as well. My neighbors are inconsiderate and rude from how they throw away their trash to how they let their dogs off leash with no regard. It boasts luxury but feels like the opposite.
